Bankruptcy and Creditors' Rights
During the past few decades, we've witnessed a rising number of bankruptcies and corporate reorganizations. Increasingly complex corporate structures and business transactions, coupled with changing state and federal laws, have added to the uncertainty and challenge of competing successfully in today's global marketplace.
In circumstances where a business does not achieve its financial objectives, bankruptcy and/or corporate reorganization is sometimes the best strategy. We represent creditors in bankruptcy, workouts and reorganizations.
Our overriding goal is to represent our clients aggressively in order to minimize the hardship and maximize the opportunities associated with a difficult situation. If possible, we try to resolve bankruptcy issues outside of the courtroom. However, when necessary, we represent clients in proceedings before the United States Bankruptcy Courts, the U.S. District Courts and state courts throughout Florida.
Bankruptcy and Creditors' Rights Experience
We have participated in some of the most sophisticated workouts and bankruptcies in the country through the representation of a wide variety of creditors.
We understand the operations of the Special Assets Departments.
We represent numerous financial institutions in bankruptcy court and are leaders in national organizations helping to shape today's federal and state bankruptcy laws. Consequently, we remain in the leading edge of the latest developments in this complex area of law.
